Welcome to The Lords Warriors Web Site Home
The Lord's Warriors, Color Guard and Drumline has been a community youth program, under the sponsorship of the Mt Carmel Missionary Baptist Church located in Waterloo, IA since 1996. They adopted the name "Lord's Warriors" in 1998. The Lord's Warrriors members, ages 10 to 19, travel all over the Midwest, demonstrating energy, precision and a positive spirit, and receiving recognition, along with numerous awards and trophies, for their elegant, but energetic, drum corps-style shows.
The Bible directs the people of God to "magnify His name." T his season the Lord's Warriors present "MAGNIFY," celebrating a few of the many names of God, which illustrate His character. The Warriors arrive representing El Shaddai: the Almighty God, and the drumline demonstrates how to: "Walk By Faith and Not By Sight." Flagline comes illustrating the name, Jehovah Nissi: The Lord Is My Banner, created to make His praise "Glorious."
The stepline presents Jehovah Tsaboath, The Lord of Hosts, and, as the Heavenly Host, they show us "The Real Party." The end of the show brings on Emmanuel: God With Us.
The mission of the Lord's Warriors Drill Team is to increase confidence, expand horizons, deepen faith, raise the praise and glorify God.
The Director of The Lord's Warriors is Kay Jordan, the Commander, Darvel Givens and Drum Captain is Travantae Umoren. The Pastor of Mt Carmel is Rev. Frantz T. Whitfield.
